Fardiquera will make us vibrate with the clattering of the pebbles, her heels, her singing, her dancing and the strumming of her guitar. The stones will sing and reveal to us the Spanish folklore with Mediterranean soul that these gypsies carry in their blood.

And for the first time our audience will also be able to actively participate in the concert, how? We will provide each spectator with two pebbles so that they can join the group when and how Fardiquera tells us to, isn’t it really special?

We are pleased to present Sergio Pereira Cuarteto in a concert that will take us on a journey through Brazilian jazz with bassist Ariel Ramírez, drummer Mariano Steinberg and pianist Adriano Tortora. Pure luxury.

His early influences were some of the best bossa-nova musicians of his time, such as Joao Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Carlos Lyra, Joao Donato and Marcus Valle.

In 1980 Sergio Pereira settled in New York and began studying with some of the jazz greats -Chuck Wayne, Sal Salvador, Alex Adrián, Hui Cox and Joe Carter-. Since the early 1990s he has been travelling the world, playing with different bands and countries. He has lived in the Netherlands and is currently based in Spain.

Some of the names he has shared music with are Gil Goldstein, Mark Egan (Pat Metheny), Matt King (Chuck Loeb), Cidinho Teixeira, Claudia Villela, Adriano Santos, Helio Alves, Nilson Matta, Mauricio Zottarelli, Lonnie Plaxico, Duduka. da Fonseca, Olivia Foschi, Lucila Novaes, Alex Sipiagin, Reza Khan or Greg Skaff.

He has been a member of the United Nations Jazz Band for over 15 years.

From FUNDEM-L’ALBARDA we would like to thank Bataille Living for sponsoring this concert, which is always on our side, supporting the wonderful union between nature and culture that we are so passionate about.

The gala will take us on a beautiful journey through the most representative melodies of opera, from Neapolitan songs to the most representative arias of the operatic genre, passing through Spanish and Cuban zarzuela and even interpreting some American aria.

Winner of the Palau de la Música de Valencia International Music Prize, Teresa Albero has a degree in Singing from the Centro Superior de Música de San Sebastián and in Musicology from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia. After obtaining the highest marks in the subsequent Master’s Degree in Performance, she has worked with Alberto Zedda at the Opera Studio in collaboration with the Teatro Real, as well as at the Opera Academy of Naples in Florida (USA), and at the prestigious London Bel Canto Festival (London, 2019).

For his part, the pianist Jesús María Gómez holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Alicante and a higher degree in piano and chamber music. Awarded in different national and international competitions, he completed his doctoral thesis on the composer Miguel Asins Arbó and the first recording of his piano works for the Universitat Politècnica de València. He is currently professor of piano and vice-director of the Conservatorio Superior de Música Óscar Esplá in Alicante. He has been a full member of the Academia Valenciana de la Música since 2017.

After the concert we will be able to continue enjoying the Jardín de l’Albarda with the aperitif that will be offered courtesy of Bataille Living.
